Emerging from a friendship of ideologies and individuals, Pause was brought together by a love for comfort, free expression and independence. A label for women who wish not to be labelled; Their clothes let you pause, breathe and be yourself.

We were approached to create an online experience for Pause. The brief was not just to create an e-commerce website but to extend the core essence of their customers to the platform.

TRANSLATING AN ATTITUDE

Pause is a brand that is built around self expression. It’s an attitude that not only accepts the self, but flaunts it unabashedly. Our challenge was to take this mindset and splash it across the homepage and at the same time aid product discovery.

We designed different banner styles that communicated the essence of the brand, gave them room to play, and extend it over time.

CLEAN PRODUCT INTERACTION

The products were showcased via large images placed front and centre to draw focus. The interface controls were kept minimal to keep the page visually light and keep the attention on the product.

DESIGNED FOR MOBILE

The micro-interactions on mobile were designed to be light and fluid to facilitate a seamless browsing experience.
