We worked with the Wadhwani-AI team to revamp their parent-brand identity and create impactful communication pieces, in both print & digital formats, for projects like the award-winning Newborn Anthropometry project, their Pest Management System, TraceTB and Cough Against Covid.
For us at Thought Over Design, the partnership has been both challenging & fulfilling. It was a rare opportunity to design for stakeholders, ranging from internal & external partners, to cotton farmers, government officials and scientists. We were humbled to witness how good communication design has the power to improve an organisation's on-ground impact towards social good.

Using their research, the organisation aimed to connect to not just highly educated researchers and experts, but also ground-level volunteers, government organisations and workers across rural India.

Typography
While we selected Tablet Gothic to be our primary typeface, we realised that there was a need for an additional typeface that would be easily available by default in all the computers. Therefore, to ensure consistency between files and decks made by the researchers at the organisation, we proposed Tahoma as the standard font for all documentation and presentations being made on standard Microsoft Office and Google Suite softwares
Sub-brand identities
A simple system was created for the branding of the organisation’s ever-evolving projects.

Numerous projects developed at the Institute are aimed to be implemented in rural India, where literacy may be a major obstacle. Therefore, a lot of the learning materials consisted of educational videos with simple diagrams and illustrations to aid in the process of educating the end user about the technology.
